I recorded this video today of my arrangement of Dark Eyes. It differs from the arrangement used by The Ventures, Jon & The Nightriders, and other bands. The amplifier is a Traynor YCV20WR, all tube class A, 15 watt, 12" Celestion greenback speaker. Reverb (with Accutronics pan) is set to 70%, bass and treble dials are set to zero, midrange is set to 100%. No other effects were used. You can see the amp behind me right after the song is finished. I used bridge + neck pickups together (both white) on this 5-pickup guitar I modified. I previously recorded the accompaniment.

Mellow, moody, warm, and I think like something from before the dawn of surf. Nice!

This was REALLY good! I really like your arrangement of this classic tune! You have a very warm sound from your guitar/amp combo. NICE!

Thanks, gentlemen! I can not deny the thrill from your comments, Matt, Noel, Ferenc and Ivan.
I first heard Ivan on a CD collection where he performed "Love Goddess of Venus." Wow, I thought to myself, now I actually like that song, what a surprise.

Ah, nice, thank you very much, Conrad! (Though, I think you mean "Moon Child", another Ventures tracks from their "In Space" album - it appeared on the Ventures tribute "Swingin' Creepers".)
