There's no middle ground on this one. Do the survey. Post your comment as either Love it or HATE IT.
Recorded guitars straight into my 1965 Gibson Invader which provided all the effects. Sears Silvertone 1457 and for the slide my Swamp Thang (just to the right of the Silvertone) purchased right here on SG 101.
Came up with the idea Friday, practice sessions Saturday and final recording Sunday (by noon). 1st time ever using open tuning (E) for slide. Thank you Wikipedia!

Love it!
Despair not, surfer. It will get the attention it deserves.
This is a great little tune, man. It's funny how slide guitar sounds kind of odd when you first hear it but at some point I realized this is a familiar sound, even in the world of surf. The Impacts! Your tune is catchy and well crafted enough that I think it would be right at home on a surf album. Call it "The Drunken Surfer" or something.
I really like how you kept a familiar chord progression interesting and engaging. That little breakdown when you go up the 4 is pretty brilliant and demonstrates good intuition, for instance. I really dig it.

I would like to thank all the participants of this week's "Rank That Tune!!!"
Our judges were more than gracious if slightly hearing impaired and included:
Redfeather: He who broke the ice then went for broke.
Noel: Known by all and loved by all he knows.
Joelman: Bonified old dude whose part time job is Rock of Gibraltar.
gaterfiend: Who? Oh, the CROCK GUY!
montereyjack66: Style-settin purveyer of peer-pressure!
Thanks to all of you first for listening and then for taking the time to say "What the hell was that?"
Payola is in the mail.

I dig it. There are similarities to the brilliant "Jan-Michael Vincent Rehab.com" by Double Naught Spy Car. If you like one you'll like both, I think.

Wow. I JUST READ Jan-Michael Vincent's AMAZING Wikipedia entry. An instructive story for the ages and proof of the old adage-
Rehab's for quitters.
DANG.

How did I miss this thread? Freaking cool man!
I think the bigger question is how did you find it? Was it in the dirty clothes hamper or scattered under a bridge?
