European reverb tank in Brazil

Hi all

I may be visiting Brazil and I may be able to bring my reverb unit with me.

My tank has an EU plug, and works with EU voltage and frequency. What do I need to make it work in Brazil?

A Google search reveals that:

a. Plug standard is "Type N" (also used in South Africa; close to but apparently not compatible with Swiss J type).
Type C (i.e. European ungrounded) plugs are compatible, but not European grounded ones.

b. Mains voltage depends on where you are. Some states use 127V and others 220V; apparently the city of Fortaleza even uses 240V.

In Brazil there is no standard voltage. Most federative units (about 60 per cent of all Brazilian households) use 127 V electricity, but some other – mainly northeastern – states are on 220 V. Even within some states themselves, there is not one single voltage.

See list of mains voltage standard by state here. Mains frequency is 60Hz everywhere though.

c. In some areas power is pretty unstable, with surges that can damage sensitive equipment.

I'd get a Surfy Bear and a normal European power supply with a Type C plug that can run on 110-240V.
