Permalink Looney Tunes - 27 min. video from 1993!

What better way to start the weekend than with a set by Germany's surf revival early birds The Looney Tunes? Cool

I think they actually were the first "real" German surf band, but I could be wrong. Anyway, this was before Pulp Fiction, and way before my own exposure to surf music (which happened only after the Looney Tunes split up). Very happy to have the opportunity to see this! Smile

Have fun!

Los Apollos - cinematic surf music trio (Berlin)
"Postcards from the Scrapyard" Vol. 1, 2 & 3 NOW available on various platforms!
"Chaos at the Lobster Lounge" available as LP and download on Surf Cookie Records!

Great stuff! And I have to confess, I didn't know they were from Germany. It never ceases to amaze me how much good rockabilly, garage, and surf is going on (and, evidently, has been going on for quite some time) in Europe. I would dare to say there's more interest in that kind of roots music across the pond than here in the U.S., which is a cryin' shame! Confused

I like it!!! Thanks for posting.

I have filmed the band in 1995 when they performed
as opening act for Dick Dale´s first gig
at the "Markthalle" in Hamburg, Germany on March 26th.
People from all over Germany made their way up north to
the city of Hamburg to watch Dick Dale and the other groups.
