Currently, I've got two Fender Cyclone II guitars - I bought this 2004 one in Candy Apple Red off of eBay not too long ago even though I was hoping to find a Daphne Blue one. A week after buying the CAR, the same seller puts a Daphne Blue one up for sale, so I grabbed that one, too. As beautiful as the CAR Cyclone II is, my heart belongs to the Daphne Blue, so I need to let the CAR go so that someone else here can give her a good home and enjoy playing her. I've only owned it for a few weeks and it's never left my home and only played once.
Asking for what I paid for it: $599 & free shipping within CONUS - PayPal please. Includes Fender-style tweed hard shell case with tremolo bar, manuals, and case key. Please PM me for questions/details. Please read the detailed description from the ebay seller I bought it from:
2004 Fender Cyclone II in candy apple red with racing stripe, "white shell" pickguard. Poplar body with forearm cut, tummy cut, and bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fretboard and "skunk stripe" on the back. Three Jaguar alnico single coil pickups with a switch for each pickup. Strat-style tremolo bridge. Easy playing 24.75" Gibson style scale length. Vintage style Fender tuners have a small hole to put the strings ends in so they can't poke you. Made in Mexico.
The gibson scale lenghth is easy playing, but still clear sounding and detunes well, without feeling cramped. The alnico Jaguar pickups sound punchy, clear, and very musical with a little more output then strat pickups. All pickup combinations are possible, including strat-like "in between" sounds with hum cancling, which are great for distortion.
The neck is striaght and the fretwork is in good condition with light play wear. There are a few very small nicks and dings in the finish, as well as well as normal light wear to the finish and hardware. There is a small scuff on the bottom of the lower bout (pictured). There appears to be a hairline crack in the pickguard about 1/2" long, but it doesn't reach the surface of the pickguard and can't be felt (see picture); this might just be a flaw in the "eggshell" texture. The electronics are in good working order. The included hard shell case is covered in Fender style diagonal tweed fabric and has noticable wear with several scuffs and marks. Tremolo bar, manuals, and case key are included.
This guitar has killer looks and is a great player -- you will not be dissapointed!
