I'd like to create a new news topic called Featured Video. I want to embed a YouTube video clip on the front page once a week or so. Introduce the guests who browse to the site to real surf music, etc. So I need a good topic icon for this new topic. I could steal one myself, but I'd prefer it if someone from the site made it. I could tap Norcalhodad again maybe, as he did the others. But if anyone wants to volunteer I'd appreciate it.
I was gonna try to find a silhouette of an old movie camera or something (with the two big reels), but I'm open to anything.

Yeah, that was what I was going to do: use one of those. But it would be cooler if a user here could create one custom for the site. If no one bites I'll resort to one of those. Thanks.

If I had photoshop or something like that I'd do one no problem but my pirated copy no longer works.
I'm really good with Microsoft Paint, but I can't do anything nice enough I am sure.

Get The Gimp. It's free open source software that is just as powerful as Photoshop.

Thanks for the suggestion. I always love open source software.
You doubt my paint skills? It is fantastic for cutting out people's head and pasting them on another image.

Josiah the guy that has the Tom Waits forum I'm on, embedded youtube on the forum last week.
It's awesome.
You can add youtube vids in any thread, and because it's just a link, it doesn't slow things down...
Really a great feature!

Any takers on this? If not I'll run with the TV and maybe build something from it. There are so many good videos out there I want to get them on the front page for people browsing the site to check out.
Surfraptor, sorry I forgot to reply. Flash objects can be used to carry out what is known as a "cross-site scripting attack".
