The Lively Ones and the Huntington Cads!! Originally booked the trip for the Cads, and still can't wait to see them - but having an opportunity to see the Lively Ones? Feeling very lucky and excited about that. Everyone else is a close second to these of course! —From past me to future you |

Is there a pre-show gathering (read party) this year? I may have missed the discussion as I have been not subscribed to this thread and have been busy. Looks like the jam is coming together (slowly, a lot of players are not checking their PM . Glad to know yer all set to go Carol. Be good to see you again. Sorry about you not being able to do Sunday. Red eye flights kinda suck. —The mighty KAHUNATONES www.donschott.com |

Very grand idea. How does one sign up for the Fender Tour. Beth & I may want to do this again. Few years back we did the tour. Bring closed toe shoes. No sandals. Otherwise the best ten bux I've spent for a tour ever. High test. Bring yer camera! —The mighty KAHUNATONES www.donschott.com Last edited: Jul 16, 2017 23:20:12 |

But can't one just Go to another time slot of tours? Are they taking any additional tours? Reminder : stay off the toll roads in a rental car (unless you really know the game) . Wear closed toed shoes because they won't let you in in sandals - or they may let you wear some old funkies they may have laying around. Bring extra cash for the gift shop or exercise some extreme self control. —The mighty KAHUNATONES www.donschott.com |

Fender no longer provides public tours, and the Visitor Center is closed. Dave Wronski arranged this special tour for SG101 members. |

Be sure to check out the Kibitz Room if you go to Canter's. From the Canter's website: Adjacent to Canter's dining space is the Kibitz Room, a 1961 addition that is also a cocktail lounge. It is a particularly congenial haven for music, featuring a full bar and small stage. Every evening the Kibitz Room is jamming with local bands and has become something of a Los Angeles scene. Back in the 60’s, bands like The Doors and The Byrds along with Frank Zappa and Arthur Lee would meet at Canter's to exchange stories, girlfriends and eat. By the 90's informal star-studded jam sessions began taking place in the Kibitz Room on Tuesday nights where groups would schmooze, and kibbitz. Many, including Joni Mitchell, Rick James, Slash and members of Guns N' Roses, The Wallflowers, and members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, have come to the Kibitz Room to hang out, sing, play, and most importantly to eat and drink. Now there is something going on in the Kibitz Room every night of the week. Most nights turning into jam sessions by midnight. Did you know that the word 'Kibitz' is the Yiddish word for offering friendly advice or wisecracking? Last edited: Jul 17, 2017 21:17:22 |
