OK... Its 4 o'clock in the morning, and I want to go to bed now... but uploading my memory cards to my laptop... waiting, waiting... and I ran thru the last card on my camera, and I saw this pic I took of Los Freneticos in the overheated Tiki Room!! Now, can I please, end my photo career and go of and paint some sun flowers and cut my ear off?

OK sitting here, sweating my @ss of at Surfer Joe's Diner, in the most hottes corner that has a power socket for my laptop! Not gonna do 1 photo per band, sorry about that. You just have to look on my website in a month or so... here are some highlights! Ralf eating a burger on stage, doing the best stand up comedy ever!

Damn... had another computercrash! It's the same story every year! My Lightroom workflow is completely messed up, so I have to pick some photos and develop them with Photoshop, which is painfull with a RSI shoulder and time taking. Gonna miss the secret show this afternoon (rumours said it is a Bradipos IV gig). But here ya go... I know it is called SurfGUITAR101 but these two (Italian) drummers where great last night: Insect Surfer, with what's his name? Surfer John or Valdamnbrini Randy Holden
OK... the Randy Holden show was not... that... brilliant as I hoped. He's doing another show this afternoon at the Tiki Room, gonna give it another try! The highlight of last night where the Insect Surfers. WOW, just simply WOW!
Not gonna mention the other bands... sorry 'bout that... coss the other highlight was... Jason Lee & The Riptides! OH... MY... GOD... another Tiki Room show as an afterparty and what a party is was. Pure SEX! Really, I'm not joking, at some point a beautifull blond lady with a nice rack rubbed her lucious body against me... and it took me 2 minutes to figure it out it was my wife! Caro I love you!

As someone not there, but tuned in to nssr, I would agree with Arny that my favourite performance so far was the Insect Surfers. It sounded like so much fun, and the band was playing really well to my ears. I enjoy the band's improvisational excursions in the songs. El Ray kicked ass. Such a great sounding live band, with great songs. The Huntington Cads get my vote for the band that sounds most like their recordings (once the sound was sorted out). Drummer, Jeff U, sounded so tight, with an amazing feel. Biggest surprise was Lorenzo singing! Going back to his Hott Doggers, Pipeliner days I think. It was berry, berry good, as was the entire Surfer Joe set. It seems like there are more bands adding vocals to their sets this year too. No problem with that here. Sadly I missd hearing the 5,6,7,8s. Can someone give a report on their performance? Of the bands neew to me, I really liked the sound of the Black Flamingos and Los Fantasticos. One more day to go!
