I just cleaned up my pm box. I deleted numerous emails from members that I have had dealings with. Most have been generous almost to a fault. I have received items that they wouldn't let me pay for. I'm most appreciative of that, not because of the money but because the common bond is the love of the music and the community of SG101. To all that I've had interactions with, thank you very much for your time and generosity. I hope you felt as good doing as I did in receiving.

Absolutely! When I was sick I had packages flooding in with CDs full of rarities, stickers, shirts. Everybody here helped turn a negative into a life changing positive. Thanks everyone!

Here here! I'm still amazed when I took up a collection for Jeff to get a new computer we ended up with enough to get a fancy Mac and a trip to Italy. If I recall correctly, I think our dear departed Tuck sent Jeff an extra $500 for spending money. What a sweet guy, he'll be missed.
And of course Coltsurf aka Paul Wayne donates beautiful Fender guitars every year to the convention. 2 of which ended up in my hot little hands Unbelievable generosity!!!

I am greatful of the generosity for the people that chipped in for the computer and Italy Trip. Amazing trip of my life. And the donations for the P-bass that was bought for me.
Here is the Guitar Donation for the SG101 Raffle Donated by Paul(coltsurf)
This year.

I have to second (third?) the opening post, which is why this group's site is so special and, I suspect, unique among fora for styles of music.
Forgetting the music, CD's, and classiest T-shirts on the planet, the most important thing that sticks with me - always - is the kind & generous (and sometimes repetitively patient) advice on a variety of things I get from folks, many just offline conversations with people who've revealed their true character as classy humans we're fortunate to share the planet with.

I'd like to chip in on this topic too. Since my involvement with the surf/instro community started, I have always been touched by the comraderie and genuine desire to help fellow players. After years in the blues Nazi world, where the was a lot of mean mouthing and back stabbing, this is so pleasant. So, thanks to everyone for being so nice. It means a lot!---
