It's been since I packed up my old music room in July of 2015, but my new music room, though incomplete, is finally open. Come on over. The room sounds great!
The music end.
The other end.
I didn't show the middle, which is where there'll be a bar and additional seating. But the fridge is there now!

Thank you! My wife said I don't get to pick any other colors. Here's what it looked like when we bought the house.

Didn't tell her that was "surf green," eh?
That is exceptional! How much to revive the "Boatwerx" at my place? I can rent a front end loader.........
Nice.

Dig it! The painting over the door is a cool touch.
Congrats on the remake.

I like what I see. Is that a converted garage from some point in time?

Thanks, Ed! Barb might have liked it better if it was Surf Green. But I wanted a lime in coconut color theme. And it cost too much! But it is a wonderful space.

Isn't that painting great? I was going to paint the door Tangerine. But after mounting the painting, I liked the look of the door being the beginning of the pier, I decided to leave it as it is. Kinda wish a lot it opened onto that scene.

Never was a garage. The house belonged to a classmate of mine from Jr. and Sr. High. The room was purpose built for parties, and they had a lot of them. The 24 X 28 foot original garage adjoins the house caddie-corner to this room at the same level. The garage roof is a party deck right off of and level with the back patio. Just wait until we get the new railing on it. There were five brothers, so they needed a lot of space, and the house was built for that purpose.

And thanks also, everyone else. I haven't posted much since the move. I've written no music reviews, and played no music since we started packing. My focus has been on my daughter, my wife, and the house. Even my motorcycle is unridden.
I didn't share this to brag, but to show that rest of my time has been usefully spent on something I think most of us will appreciate. I meant it when I said the music room is open. If you come here, you can play here.

Since you mentioned it, how is your wife, daughter and I'm guessing the battery is dead on the cycle? :)Since you and I are very close in age, I understand why it takes a long time to do things.

The bike is on a smart trickle-charger, and has fuel stabilizer in the tank. Barb fell and broke her wrist on Mother's Day, bad enough that they had to transplant tissue from a donor to complete the repair. But she's doing fine, and will be okay. Corradina just finished competing at Penn State in the Special Olympics State Championships games, and took Gold in softball throwing. Here's an older photograph showing her determination and focus.
I don't like being old... er, but the alternatives aren't appealing.

Lookin good Noel! All you need to do now is replace the existing furniture with mid century modern & tiki furniture! A tiki bar & an Eames lounge chair would look great in there!

I agree with Bob. I've seen some really cool tiki lounges that people have done. I'd be tempted to build a knockoff of 1 of the 9' surf boards for a counter or table top. I could be in trouble with the lady that said you don't pick any more colors rapidly.
