Permalink Balkan surf-rock band Boom Pam?

New Topic

Anyone know anything about Balkan surf-rock band "Boom Pam"? I saw that they were going to be featured on a program called "Music Voyager" (Season 3 Episode 7) on Create TV (a PBS station) but missed the episode. Are they truly a "surf band" and are their CD's worth the price?

They're more electric klezmer than anything, not really surf although still very enjoyable. Balkan? They're from Tel Aviv, Israel. You can listen to their music free on bandcamp.

Thank you.

Just saw that Boom Pam is playing the Jewish Music Festival in Palo Alto this June... http://www.jweekly.com/2017/05/03/silicon-valley-jewish-music-fest-tickets-on-sale/

Great live band, and super nice guys. They played here in Halifax a couple of years ago, and really had the crowd dancing. If you have a chance to see the, definitely go. The tuba player is amazing.

Thank you all for the info and video, I'm still waiting on the replay/rerun of the Musizika show on JBS (Jewish Broadcasting).
