There is no way that is a fair price for that. My bandmate just got one and I'm sure he didn't pay $100 for it. Mike, care to let us know?

Yeah, I would love to hear of a cheaper source for one that fits an AVRI! I haven't seen any for less than $125. And shipping from Scotland!

Well, there's two different ways to get these right now.

The first is a fellow in Scotland that makes them custom. I've seen his in person though and they are a bit thick and don't look 100% authentic up close (also the screw holes don't line up with new AV's).

The second option is to get a guard from All Parts (and the screw holes line up!). They just began reissuing these at the start of '07 and they retail for around $100. Since I work at a guitar store I paid quite a bit less, but I could hook up anyone on SG101 for about $75.

Does anyone knows where I can get one of those original Fender replacement gold anodized pickguard? I have noticed the number of holes varies, mine is a AVRI.
