If you're a fan of the Satan's Pilgrims school of surf music, than you should check this record out. I've gotten an advance copy of this CD and I have to say I'm enjoying it. Though I'm a fan and purveyor of modern non-traditional surf music, I still on occasion like to hear some good new-fashioned surf music the way it was first intended, loaded with reverb and simple fun songs. This album delivers just that, pure surf rock and roll. The lead guitarist and driving force behind this album is David Hineline aka Stratdancer. As far as I know this is his first foray into surf music though he sounds like he's been playing it all his life. There is all the hallmarks of a good surf record. An overabundance of reverb, lots of pounding drums, simple but catchy melodies and songs, and did I mention a lot of reverb? Good job Stratdancer and Kahuna Kings!
