I have been through this many times.. not exactly from guitar, but once you get into this agitated repetitive stress injury situation you have to stop and let the overworked area heal as everyone has said.
Basically you sound like you have the first part of "Tennis Elbow" or yeah the above "Golf Elbow" or whatnot.. I used the online vids for treating tennis elbow and a theraband and that worked for me. You have a tendon that runs from your fingers/wrist that goes over your elbow and you have agitated it to the point of pain, which is not good. It will really be debilitating if not addressed. I used a theraband and it helped enormously. And ice..and aspirin. Also acupuncture is really good for this type of thing IMHO. and NOT Heat and Massage (just agitated it more). For me it was also not the guitar, but using a trackpad on my laptop. Ergonomics for any repetitive motion are really really critical, and yet some people are just not meant for certain kinds of motion so you just have to move on. If I use a trackpad, it take about 3 minutes to reach a pain point again, years later!
