I know they've been mentioned at SG101 before but all those video links are dead, most now come under the "daisei1979" youtube channel.

All i know is i can't stop playing this video, it's driving me nuts!
Bittersweet Samba is a Herb Alpert tune, right? I think the Space Cossacks are one of the only other instrumental guitar bands to cover it(?).

The tune was composed by Sol Lake, but made famous by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass on Whipped Cream & Other Delights.

The Space Cossacks' version is truly awesome and appears on The Surfin' Senorita comp (A MUST HAVE!). There are also versions by The Bitch Boys, and The Surf Coasters out there.

Does anyone know if this band is still together? Their YouTube channel hasn't been updated in ages. It's a shame because they are/were fantastic.

Just a heads up... their first album is on US iTunes for about 4 bucks. It ranges from Ventures to Surf to Shadows to Rock. It's totally worth the download!
