Permalink Reverberation vs Reverb Units ??

New Topic

Anybody have any experience with these home stereo type Reverberation Amplifiers?

I am particularly curious about the Pioneer SR-101 since is s an all Tube unit (5 tubes) with a pair of 3 spring Pans - and they occasionally show up for between $50 - 100.

They are 2-channel vintage stereo units with RCA inputs but seems like they could be easily adapted for guitar - if the tone is decent - anybody ever heard or used one? Sometimes the "full range" aspect of old Hi-Fi equipment works against the guitar player tone wise...

Thanks JC -
