I am also a fan of the Surf Trio and Blood Red Records, and just wanted an opportunity to wish you welcome to the forum, Jeff. Had some great times playing w/ the Trio up in Portland and still flash the t-shirt you gave me at one of the shows. Thanks, man, you guys rock.
Best,

Hey Greg! Thanks for the welcome. I have to say, if it weren't for The Bomboras, Satan's Pilgrims, The Boss Martians and probably a couple of other bands, Blood Red Vinyl would have died off after two releases. And I have nothing but great memories of playing shows with/seeing The Bomboras - watching the go-go dancers and the flaming Farfisa, hanging out with all of you, Jake offering to give me a tattoo. You guys even put me on the guest list at a Cramps show (which for me was the rock & roll equvalent of being invited into the older kids' tree fort by your cool neighbor). AND, just so you know, Keith Streng of the Fleshtones also paid you guys a great compliment after playing one of our Blood Red Weekends with you. After the show, he was raving about how good you were, and he said, "Man, they really lit a match under our ass!" If anyone's seen the Fleshtones live, they know that that's high praise.

Sorry BTD. The best part is, I have no idea what it meant in the first place, I don't remember.
Hey Ted! I remember where 'don't break glass' came from - something I said (that came out sounding really dumb) in a moment of fear that somebody might drop a glass bowl filled with candy. It is the definitive inside joke in the sense that it's only funny to people who were there. Okay - now everyone else can roll their eyes as Ted and I break into fits of uncontrollable laughter.
