According to my grand-kids: You Gotta Be Shittin' Me.
I'm gonna build me a small cab, put a neodymium 15" in it, a Surfy-Bear, a Surfy-Trem, and that 45.
Then I'm gonna put it on a pickup, and drive all over the Middle-East, spreading the sounds of love. It will be a very good portable solution.
I love that idea, although I'm glad you're not going to put yourself in harm's way just to do a Jake & Elwood thing, since it might not be as productive as just a trip to Surfer Joe. I love all my "stuff" but this further step - small pedal board including the 45 and a Neo cab - is exceedingly cool IF it's as versatile as some of their other offerings. I remember from the Convention & the Crazy Aces show that Kiwamu brought his Mini & favorite funky cabinet & sounded great.
Pleeeeeeez someone at NAMM who gives this a road test play it clean or slightly crunchy but demo'ing the full-range of gain/Tri-Q settings.

Yeah, I get it. But too many people demo something and add "Oh, by the way just to make it interesting here's my Warp Factor Fazer, and my prototype flanger, and my Marshall Stack Fame-ulator." Net value = 0

True story. If they could use just the talent booster, and the talent booster alone, we'd all be better off.

Still searching for a talent booster but I do own a talent equalizer. My guess is it works by pulling everyone else down to my level.

Awesome Chip. And for the next time there's a thread...
"Hi, I'm living with my folks in an upstairs bedroom and was wondering what I should get as a practice amp, Showman or Marshall stack?"...

Just having some fun. I could seriously see this on a pedal-board small enough to fit into some of the backpack type gig bags around, one hand grabs the lightweight spkr cab, and one is still free for coffee. Not for me but I could see a small cab & one of these for the grand-daughter if she decides to stick with it this time. She ditched the bf but seems to have kept her interest in guitar. (For a grandpa that's like a double-win.)

Don't ask.
I can't tell.
Seriously, but
The future is looking good and here's one company who is listening to it's customers.
Cheers,
Jeff

Every time I play my quilter I dig it more and more. It's the only amp I'm playing anymore!

Wait a minute... are you beta testing a "new" Q101??

Yep, they listened. We already have on record (literally) what Ver. 1 can sound like. (Hmm, I recognize that sticker.)
Dear Quilter,
Please release Jeff from his Secret-Squirrel Non-Disclosure Agreement, so he can do a demo.

Which customers are they listening to??
And more importantly, what are they saying??
CME leaked links to a 200 overdrive head and that mini101 reverb. The links were quickly removed, but I'd REALLY like to know what's what with both of the new products. I didn't catch too much so far during/after namm.

I wonder how it's voiced?
I hope it retains the "Surf" setting or something very close.
Interesting... ?

Just guessing but several folks (including here) thought the 101 was voiced a little bass-heavy and would've preferred a traditional set of tone controls vs. the Tri-Q. That might be one thing. (Just going by demo's & comments; haven't actually played one.)

Yep, that was the only real complaint I had with the amp and I asked Quilter directly to consider altering it to include at least a bass and treble control.
The Surf and Jazz voices were both bass heavy with no way to dial it out.
I see the new unit has onboard reverb which is something I could do without as I like using other sources of reverb (Texotica, Zoom MS70).
