Regarding "The Ventures a Go-Go" album, I don't think the Ventures ever recorded a more "surf" track than "A Go-Go Dancer"! Definitely the Ventures in their full-blown 'surf' mode - and they could certainly pull it off when they wanted to!

Yes! One of my favourite Ventures tracks and in fact the song that really got me turned on to the Ventures years ago.

Man I love that track. I really dig the Looney Tunes version too, which turns up the insanity a notch or two.

The enormously tight precision of the Ventures' reading is thrilling, even awesome. The lead guitarist of Looney Tunes is right on, but the rhythm guitarist picks late and gives me vertigo.

My favorite Classic Ventures CD albums are the two below. This "Surfing" CD contains 30 songs. Most are surf guitar songs but some are not (e.g., Walk Don't Run, Perfidia, Hawaii 5-0, Torquay, Penetration, Bulldog).

Several of my individual favorite Ventures' recordings are not on these CDs, but individual songs are a different matter.
