Hello folks of SurfGuitar101!
I am a guitarist here in San Jose, CA looking for other musicians (guitarist, bassist and drummer) to start a surf/instro project or join an existing group. Have solid gear (AC30, Fender Princeton, ESP Vintage Plus Strat body, etc.) and reliable transportation. I have live experience and recording experience as well. I can practice any evening of the week. Just looking for folks who would be up to gig regularly (once a month?) and write new music. If this sounds interesting hit me up:

I went to the show. It was awesome. I should have checked here first, but I haven't been on the forum in ages.

Hello! Thanks BigTikiDude! I was at the show and it was amazing. All the bands were top notch, excellent performances. CousinMary, it was a pleasure to finally meet you and thank you for introducing me to Dave. Sooner or later, it will click and we will be up and running. Good morning everyone! BigTikiDude, yes, it was amazing and I am bummed we did not cross paths, but I know we will. With that said though, I wanted to update this post. My wife and I have decided to move back to Sacramento for a number of reasons. Though I am bummed to leave the Bay Area I am rather stoked because my brother and very good friend will pick up the drums and bass for The Me Gustas! This will allow us to play live a bit and continue making music. If things change though, I know where I need to come to ask for help. Everyone on here has been so gracious and helpful. I have not met the guys from The Pyronauts, but I know they are out in Auburn and hopefully we will cross paths as well and maybe I can learn/perform a show with them. So with all that said, I will do my part to grow this wonderful sound in Sacramento! Everyone, have a great Thursday and fun at the SG101 Convention (maybe next year!)

Good morning! It is with great pleasure that I can say I am staying in the Bay Area! Circumstances changed and my wife and I will remain in the Bay Area with no hints to moving in the future. With that said, I am back on the hunt looking for a band to join or create one from scratch. I am in San Jose, CA and can travel. I currently play with The Me Gustas, but that looks to be land locked (this project is just going to record, but no live shows) and I would like to find some folks who would like to play live. I am excited to be staying in the Bay Area and more excited to meet folks to create some great tunes!
