I voted Globster. But for some reason it had me thinking "All U Can Eat Crabfest"

The pic of the Sea Lice looks almost friendly.

After last weekends amount of driving on the freeways here. I was about to change the name of my band to "Zombie Driving School"
Speed Up, Slow Down, Speed Up, Slow Down, Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Thats funny Im supposed to jam with your ex-bassplayer Dereck. He wants to do an Link Wray garage type deal.

I was thinking maybe Zombie Foot?

Cool. Dereck is a good guy. He loves the garage stuff. Tell him the boys in ZSC say hello and hope the East Coast is treating him well.

I think I'd go with "the Mike Graves Band" personally.

How bout 'The Misfits'?

LOL, different Mike Graves.

Not that I'm not a bit of a misfit myself. Wink

I voted Sea Lice. Would be nice to put a positive spin on those little bastards.

As used on the East Coast the term Sea Lice does not indicate that species of fish parasites but is used to describe nailhead-size, translucent-blue crab larvae, a late-July early-August phenomenon capable of producing a sensation like a bug bite. "They have real sharp spines," said dermatologist William Burke of Eastern Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. "You get them under your bathing suit, and it causes an itch." According to Burke, "sea lice" is used as a catch-all term for various tiny critters that cause rashes under suits or on exposed skin. These include the larvae of the thimble jellyfish ( Linuche unguiculata , for Latin lovers) and the sea anemone Edwardsiella lineate , both of which are more common problems than blue crab larvae, says zooplankton ecologist Deborah Steinberg of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in Gloucester Point.

Freshwater salmon anglers love to see sea lice on their catch. It means that the fish has only been in fresh water for a short time.

I had to give the edge to Sea Lice, even though I find I generally like to see the word "The" in front of names that are nouns, like you did with The Cachalots. One word names especially always remind me of 70's and 80's hard rock and metal. I just now remembered "Slacktone" which is one of the coolest names, and is an exception to the rule. "The Slack Tones" just wouldn't be the same. (Maybe it's a adjective and my rule still stands?) Oh well, grammar was never my best subject anyway . . .

When (if) I ever get my drumming together, I'm going to recruit three other middle aged, balding guys like myself and call our band The Beach Comb-overs. We'll all part our hair just above the ear and turn a minus into a "trademark/gimmick. Wink

Slacktone was originally SlackJaw, as in you stand there with you Jaw Slack open watching them. But I guess there was a blues band with that name already. The first time I went to see Slacktone at the Surf Museum in
HB I assumed they were a Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar band.

boy was I wrong.
Sorry Thread Hijack

but thought I'd throw that out there.

I assumed it was a take on Slacktide.

'The Skullets' is a cool name.

"The Blow Holes" is a cool name...in the cetacean-themed realm...

Maybe 'The Daddy Ohms'

I have names but no band Embarassed Hopefully none of these are taken

  1. The Man O'Wars (probably taken)

  2. The Meesurlews

  3. The Neaps

  4. The Locals (as in Don't fuck with the locals, which would be a bitchin title for the first album)

And the one I would really use if I had a band because it describes all my gear at the moment...

  1. The Reissues! ROTFL Oh yeah, and you have to have the exclamation point at the end. It's The Reissues! not The Reissues

if i ever had a band (probably will never happen) i'd call it KOOKAMUNGAS
so i could be the biggest or the oldest or the only, etc etc
