Oh man, that silver tone is sweet. That have a block in the middle, or fully empty inside?
Those Silvertones/Harmony are FULLY hollow. I had one and it did sound great. Probably due to the pickups

It's always good to have a Mosrite in the mix. This is my Combo from the sixties which gets all my playing time. http://www.reverbnation.com/theampfibians |

I picked up an Ibanez Artcore AS73 that I am having a problem putting down for anything else. the only down side is now that I am picking up the surf, it doesn't have a tremolo and want a brighter tone now and then. It is giving me a wide range of tone, but we always want more. |

Here a couple of my non-surf guitars. I have a 2001 Rickenbacker 330 and a 1981 Gibson ES-335 that I love. I've toyed with putting a Bigsby on the 335, but then again, I don't use it for surf and don't really want to mess up the body.

That is a Dearmond T-400. I had one for years (I wish I could remember which one of my fellow forum members I bought it from) and sold it because it was one of those things that was awesome to have that didn't get as much use as my solid body guitars. I do miss it when I think about it. JObeast wrote: — The Mystery Men? |

I just got an Ibanez Artcore AS73 just like the one a few posts up to go with my full thickness AF75 and can't help but think of the Soul Surfer himself: |

I have a fondness for cheaper semi-hollows. The best lower cost so far I've come across are a MIK Peerless Epi Riviea with full size humbuckers, also a Samick MIK semi with no name I could see. Both of these needed better pickups, but the feel and playbility was anything but cheap. The newest entry in this group is a Samick GB Rolaye 3 I just picked up for a friend. Modest inn size. A single cut, doens't look lie a 335. Got it for 350 used, and am really impressed by it. Great feel, frets. Pickups on the hot side (Duncan made), but got them adjusted pretty well. You could spend way more than this and get something no better or only a little better. |

2005 Ibanez Artcore AF-75 (with AF-75T tailpiece and Gretsch pups) and from the 60's a Recco (Ibanez 480), matching bass (non standard pups) and Univox Custom 335 bass copy. Guess what my favourite finish is? Peter http://www.youtube.com/user/jenipete |
