Hope you got enough money that Paul can buy a new strat.
When I talked to him at the SJSF 2014 he answered my question how many guitars he has, only two guitars: one electric and a "normal one".
When one was stolen he lost 50 % of his equipment...
I wish Paul will find a good replacement for his strat.

Sincere and warmest gratitude to all those friends, fans and Surf family that contributed to the Paul Johnson guitar fund!

Paul is now in the possession of a one-of-a-kind Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster and even has enough left over to get that Telecaster he's always wanted!

Your generosity was truly inspiring and will go a tremendous distance toward bettering PJ's situation!

We say it often, but it's true. The Surf music community is a spectacular group of people in all the best and most important ways! THANK YOU!

WOW that's a beaut! WTF do you call that pickguard style??? PJMoto looks very happy indeed!

How much input did he have on design, materials, etc? I'm guessing this wasn't a surprise when he finally picked it up? did he go to Fender to consult directly with them?

Details, man, we need details!

Wow!!! This is so cool! Beautiful guitar. Couldn't have gone to a more worthy guy. I'll be smilin' for days about this. Can't wait for details, and to see the Telecaster that Paul gets. Thanks to Jonpaul for organizing this, and to everybody who contributed!
