Halloween is a great time for surf tunes, the spooky reverb, theramin and bone shakin' rhythms go hand in hand. As always Surf Rock Radio is about quality over quantity so we are not going to overdo Halloween, but we will give you an expertly curated selection of creepy vintage surf and the best contemporary horror surf from bands including Marshall and the Martins, The Grande Bois, The Terrorsurfs, The Alder Kings, King Beez, Blackball Bandits, The Surf Zombies, The Tiki Creeps and The Delstroyers and soooo many more. 100% GNARLINESS GUARANTEED
The mix will get progressively more spooky as we approach the 31st, so for the time being it's ok for teenagers to listen. And on 31st, Surf Rock Radio has your Halloween party soundtrack covered! With a much requested feature - no darn talking between expertly mixed tracks !

It's from an old Sci-Fi movie called This Island Earth.

Yes, I researched it right after my post. Recognized the aliens- the Metalunas. Awesome surf band. And Mike has their picture proudly displayed on Surf Rock Radio, I think as a Halloween thingy. The aliens, not the band. Do the Metalunas still exist? I have this one an it is outa-sight!

Interocitors can be found in kits on Craigslist, but make sure you buy vintage not the newer Chinese imports.

So that's why they explode into flames when you try to unplug them.

Not to fear, many know of the almighty Interocitor. It's actually ( the word) is used regularily here. Exeter had an awesome hairdo... Yup sci-if fan. Mystery Science Theatre 3K did a great voice over on it as one of there reviewed movies from their captivity in space. But I digress, back to the original thread.
