I was listening to my surf heavy "daily playlist" on Spotify yesterday and a tune came on but I can't remember the name or find it now. The only detail I have is that the cover looks like a German/Swiss scene and I'm pretty sure there's lederhosen involved. Any ideas?

I was even wrong on the details given but somehow my buddy Dave figured it out. It's this:

The Mystery Men? - 2012-
MOONBASE - 2012-2017
The KBK - 2017-2022

I'm so glad you brought this up, Chad! This band is barely ever mentioned or played and is VERY GOOD! Too bad their unique vision of "Black Forest Surf" isn't more recognized or appreciated!
There are two full lengths on Kamikaze: the above mentioned Schwarzwald Fieber and 15 Black Forest Surf Originals, as well as a later compilation called No Parking On The Dance Floor containing new material, 2 of their 7 inches and a couple of live tracks.
Also, 5 7 inch releases (one being a Christmas split with The Tremolo Beer Gut)
Oh...and 2 of their songs appear on the seldom seen 2006 NPR Krautsurf comp!
— Insect Surfers
The Tikiyaki Orchestra
The Scimitars
Lords Of Atlantis
Fiberglass Jungle - Surf Radio

They also have another release from 2007 called No parking on the dance floor.

I finally got around to giving "Schwarzwald Fieber" a listen and it is kind of nuts (in the good way of course) and Jonpaul you are right, it's very good and I don't understand why more folks aren't talking about it. It kind of reminds me of some Laika & the Cosmonauts in a strange way, possibly some of the keyboard sounds and arrangements.

And if you are interested in the 2 7inches from 1999. Maybe you get it for 1 €? I have them for sale here:

...very interesting, the comparison with Laika & The Cosmonauts!?!? This is funny what someone else hear in a band. For me they are tooootally different to Laika!!!
It seems they are not well known in the surf scene because they don`t want to be a part of it!?
To be honest, the last gig I have seen them it was more a kind of "beat" and had nothing to do with Surf imo...
— Twang cheers!
