Kawentzmann. According to soniccouture it's too dangerous to create a line-out so sampling must be done by microphone and speaker using the original stock amplifier unit. I think that's probably a good idea anyway. With a Korg Microsampler and good samples any band could take to the road with it.

I've seen the Clavioline used on Telstar played by Peter Knight, with The Moontrekkers.

That would clear the speculation I'm seeing elsewhere on the net, that a Univox was used for Telstar.

Assuming that Peter Knight was telling the truth (why wouldn't he have been?) and that it WAS a Clavioline and not a Univox (I may be making an assumption here, since I always believed it to be a Clavioline), yes.

It appears to be a long running dispute (see advert) Meek was known to re-record with other session players and keep it under his hat!. I just found a Univox plugin which also mentions the dispute: Here

Looks like a Clavioline to me.

Does anyone know of a CD with samples of the Clavioline that I could load into a sampler? Or is there a keyboard with a Clavioline preset? Or a computer virtual keyboard with the Clavioline sound?

My Roland FA 06 has a "Telstar" preset that pretty much sounds exactly like the recording. One could go in and edit and tweak the preset further though if the original could make drastically different sounds one would probably have to start with a different preset and modify.

Actually, my synth has another one besides the Telstar preset that sounds pretty accurate as well (I think it was part of an expansion pack IIRC).
