Permalink Mike Love & Duane Eddy interview snippets & more!

New Topic

This week on Catching A Wave radio show, we hear Mike Love talk about The Beach Boys vocal harmony as well as "Fun, Fun, Fun". We also hear Duane Eddy talk about his signature "twang" guitar sound plus tunes from The Sabres, Atomic Mosquitos, Deke Dickerson & THE TRASHMEN - OFFICIAL PAGE, The Bangles, The Monkees, Martin Cilia, Dick Dale, Jan & Dean and so much more!

I suggest creating a single thread for your show that you add to every week to keep all these in one place.

You can also edit the first post in the thread to change the title every week if you wish to highlight the latest show, although I would keep "Catching a Wave" in the title somewhere to avoid confusion.

"It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea

I just listened to the show and really enjoyed it very much.
The English cover of the ep "Fun, Fun,Fun" shows the members of the BBs
in 1962, I believe. Foto session for their 1st LP "Surfin´ Safari".
Interestlingly the Wilson Brother don´t show their teeth - they were still very young and not so professional in those days!
The choice of songs is excellant and even I found some tracks I hadn´t heard before (e.g. Martian Beach, Ride The Savage, Anna Lee,).
Thanks a lot for sharing the link here!!
