The 50 lb weight, 13 lbs less than a '65 Twin Reverb reissue, is very appealing to me. Of course, the 12AY7 preamp tube in the amp's Normal channel could be inexpensively replaced with a 12AX7, if desired, but I'm wondering about the Jensen Tornado neodymium 12" speakers. Anybody ever used them or heard them? How do they compare with the Jensen 12" speakers that come in the '65 Twin Reverb reissue? Thanks! Last edited: Sep 16, 2016 10:07:09 |

Perhaps this part of a review that I found sums it up: "For those looking for raunchier rock tone, you can stick with Celestions or Eminence. If you'd like a more refined top end that is slightly bright, but actually pleasing to the ear, along with a round, warm bass ..." |
