Howdy,
I'm selling a couple of pieces from my collection to finance upgrading the sound and light systems at my venue.
Will be posting pictures of these two guitars here soon!
Special SG101 asking prices:
1966 Ventures Mosrite: SOLD!
1997 (I think) Dick Dale custom shop signature Strat: $2100
Both with cases. Shipping included.
pyronauts@hotmail.com if you wanna get in touch quickly.
Thanks,
Paul

Ha!
Sadly, she cannot. I'm more than a few dollars shy of being a contender. I owned a '68 for a while in black, and the only thing it lacked was an ink blue finish like this!
To anyone thinking Mosrite - These are incredible. I've played modern takes, and while they get you almost all the way to the Mosrite sound, the only way to get that last 10% is with a vintage one.
Best of luck on the sale!

Pyro Paul,
Your price for the Mosrite is at average retail for this model for its condition.
Some points and maybe a suggestion -
Speaking only for myself, the 66 models usually are my least favorite. Moseley was in high gear back then just cranking out several hundred units per month from a relatively small factory. Producing "goods" cheaper and faster resulted in production "short cuts" with associated lower quality control (despite how some economic theorists see it - if they can even fathom it) happened - hence the truss rod adjustment moved to the head stock with some plastic cover plate, the pot metal tailpiece. etc. I've had a few '66s. They were the first to go when I could trade for a more aesthetically pleasing model. I no longer own any '66s (I think). There are good '66 models - generally the ones made immediately after the '65 models. Perhaps check your potentiometer code numbers to see when they were made. The most famous '66 was Eric Braun's (anyone remember Iron Butterfly?). Sounded OK. The latter '66s generally had rather dismal pickup output.
So - maybe you have a youtube video or can possibly relate some track(s) from a CD you made that features the guitar. That might help you get a sale.
Good luck

I've always thought that the DD signature Stratocaster is one of the coolest guitars Fender does.
