Found it on vinyl for $12. Has Hal Blaine, Tommy Tedesco, David Gates etc on it. Yay or nay?

Here's some sound samples from the re-issue cd.

The Thunderchiefs

It’s really not surf. But I like it. Early fuzz and unusual use of steelguitar.
To me it’s a masterpiece for the holiday season.

KK

The Exotic Guitar of Kahuna Kawentzmann

You can get the boy out of the Keynes era, but you can’t get the Keynes era out of the boy.

I dont know about any of the others, but Tommy Tedesco was a highly succesful session player in the 60's and 70's. I'm pretty sure he's the one you hear play the Munsters theme from the TV show. I also remember him as a member of the Fernwood Tonight Show band.

I really like "Ski Surfin" although an even better ski album is the Glaciers' "From Sea To Ski".

It was actually Bob Bain who played on the Munsters theme, on a Tele if I recall correctly.

I believe Tedesco kinda had a reputation using pen names for various sessions he played........maybe he was Bob Bain???.......dunno.

Nope - two different players.....

....but after a little more reading, it seems Tommy Tedesco did do some work on the Munsters also.

Funny, I thought Billy Strange was on that Munsters’ Theme.

Wow, thanks for posting that. Sounds really cool. I'm definitely going to have to pick this one up.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Well did some quick inet research and you are correct Mr Bain was on the Munsters session. Tedesco did Batman.......I think this is what I was thinking of.
