It arrived yesterday from Sweetwater. TRIPLE boxed!
Already have a Champion 20, an amazingly good sounding practice amp that costs practically nothing.
Thinking the next model up with a 12" speaker would be a no brainer and having read all the reviews I figured "why not". Its a lot of amp for a ridiculous price.
Going to use it primarily for living room band practice, have bigger stuff for gigging. Also, not using any effects on the amp because I love my pedalboard. As a clean platform it performs really well.
I'll bet Fender sells a zillion of these puppies!

Congrats. Sounds like a great choice for that purpose.

Thanks!
Our other guitar player got a SS 40 watt Vox recently which inspired me to move up from my Champion 20.
Anything sounds good with my Gomez reverb tank in front of it.

Between the Mustang and Champion series Fender may have locked down the solid state market.

I don't know, the VOX VTxX line seems to be as good if not better than the Mustangs.
I played one the other day and quickly ordered one.
It shows up today, actually. A VT40X...MUCH nicer than the VT80+ I used to have and love.
The new ons even have VOX's type of FUSE software with it. Much more tubey, and nice options teh Mustangs don't have.

I have a VT80+. I've managed to dial in quite a good surf sound. Having bigger problems messing with the delay to get a 60s British instro sound.
