Lead slot is open, Ralph Sweat may be able to do this , have not heard yet. Billy Blastoff has mentioned interest.

Ralph has declined. Door is wide open.

I'm good for Rhythm guitar on Calif. Dreamin'.
Billy

Be careful following the masses. Sometimes the "M" is silent...........................

Sorry for the delayed response but Scotty Bravo will be joining our group as well so:
The Mysterrito Lads (performing "Reef Rider" by Aqualads and "Cassandra Complex" by The Mystery Men?):
Scotty Bravo - drums
Jeremy DeHart - guitar
Jamie Galatas - guitar
Tim Moritz - bass
Chad Shivers - guitar

If anyone else needs another guitarist or bassist last minute, I'd be happy to step in.

The Squares - 1995-2002
The Mystery Men? - 2012-
MOONBASE - 2012-2017
The KBK - 2017-2022
The Frigidaires 2021-
Southern Surf Stomp!

Unfortunately, I'll be driving band members to the airport.
Otherwise I'd be there and be volunteering on guitar or even half rate drums!
The jam will be a blast, I'm sure.

Cheers,
Jeff

Hey surfers, this is Gellert from The Fintastics. I'll be attending the convention. I can do guitars on a song, if needed. (I won't be bringing one so a loaner will be appreciated).

Let me know!

_

Hi, I'm Gellert, guitarist for The Fintastics.

https://www.facebook.com/TheFintastics

If I'm not mistaken, I think there's still a lead guitarist needed for Pacifica. You game, Gellert?

unfortunately i can't be at the members jam as my flight leaves LAX at 9 PM. so......i won't be there to play rhythm on 'pacifica'. i played it last year and it's easy for anyone who might want to pick it up.

That's a bummer, Carol.

In light of this, should we drop Pacifica? We did play it last year.

I know Don had a couple more tunes he'd been contemplating.

Or maybe Gellert has something he'd like to play lead on?

TRYING TO SAVE SOMETHINGS

Last evening got a note from Billy Blastoff - he also busts out of town Sunday.

For clarification :
The jam has moved this year from being a pre show members jam to a post pier show members jam on Sunday evening held at SURF DOGS in the plaza.

Don't remember the projected start times (have to look them up)

The jam is in three sections as per mom surfing post at the head of this thread.

There will be a sign up sheet for Jammers in set three and this first set is seemingly off to a slow burn

So, now CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' now needs a rhythm guitarist
It was the only complete cast I had for for a tune.

I'm still interested in Pacifica but now I'm pretty sure I'm bringing a guitar and not a bass. (Since Billy was going to lend me a guitar - and now can't , I will bring something)

Any takers for rhythm guitar on CALIFORNIA DREAMIN'?

It seems GELLERT has confided in me that he would play rhythm guitar on THE BREZZE AND I and I would play lead on that so I also need takers on bass and drums.

I have a short list of potential well known pieces if anybody is interested in working with me on any of these.

If someone could lend a bass (I usually play a five fretless but four and fretted is ok)I would be able to play bass if needed.

These are just some ideas:
Song suggestions for the jam
If you would like to play any of these let me know and we can build it up

I could play bass if needed

Bikini Machines
Surf Rider
Apache
Baja
Calhoun Surf
Diamondhead
State Fair
Lonely Bull
Mr. Moto

I could play rhythm

Bikini Machines
Surf Rider
Apache
Baja
Calhoun Surf
Diamondhead
State Fair
Lonely Bull
Mr. Moto
Point of No Return (Bambi Molesters)

I would play lead

The breeze and I

So, if we're still looking for a lead on Pacifica....and you're desperate....and sober enough to make responsible decisions... I can offer myself up for the slot.

If you got it covered, no worries.

Bummer. One of the coolest things I liked about the SG101 Convention was that it gave a chance for some of the long time members to jam and strut their stuff. It's been a tradition for how many years now????????????? I can't make Sunday, along with a few others. others. Bummer.

since i can't make the after pier members jam because of my early flight out of LAX, please direct all questions about the members jam to don 'don't fear the reverb bass', he'll take care of all of you.

www.surfintheeye.com

Time to "get on board" for the super after party featuring some players who have not signed up yet. The more we can organize up front, the better the audible results.

If anybody wants to play Rising Surf (Richie Allan & The Pacific Surfers), I'd be happy to play rhythm on that one.
