6- 6- 6, but my mid-90's RI tank goes up to twelve. Seriously, It actually goes up to twelve. I have a newer reissue which doesn't sound as good, probably because it only goes up to ten. It's all very confusing! — |

Reading this thread confirms what I have been thinking lately, that I use too much reverb. I normally have my Fender RI set to T7, M8, D9, but it's just too much. Recently, I have been backing it down to T5, M6, D7, and it sounds much better. Of course, when I play Dick Dale I will still crank up the mix and dwell. —MooreLoud.com - A tribute to Dick Dale. 4 3 4 if some echo is in play & preferred to dominate. Straight in your face surf can be 4 4-1/2 to 5 Tone set to 8-1/2. I sometimes use a little onboard reverb along with my tank. I usually set it somewhere around 3 on my '65 Twin Reverb. —MooreLoud.com - A tribute to Dick Dale. New Singles "Finish Line" and "Paradiso" on Bandcamp and website. |

The Eddie Bertrand settings: dwell-3, mix-7 tone-6. This is flexible, however. |

Until I got my Surfy Bear I always used the onboard reverb. It worked fine but the difference is huge, so now I'll only use it in an event of emergency. Settings: 6-6-6. Last edited: Jul 07, 2016 03:51:52 |

Lately I've been using 4-5-6 or something along the lower-dwell, higher-tone idea. Seems to satisfy my reverb desires while keeping the guitar tone pure enough. — |
