Happy Canada Day everyone! USK had a gig from 8:30-10:30am this morning, perhaps the first Canada Day gig in the country. Here is the rig I used ( Canadian made amp, Eastwood Guitar also a Canadian company, and aTim Horton's coffee).
Here's the first Canadian instro video to help you celebrate. Feel free to post your fave Canadian bands, instro or not.

Happy Canada Day! My uncle (on my dad's side) is a naturalized Canadian, having moved there back in '67, I think. He's been living in Vancouver since then - and here's one of my favorite Canadian surf bands, also from Vancouver: Mark Brodie & the Beaver Patrol! Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

Ivan,
Great choice! Mark Brodie was/is definitely a great player and writer. The last recording I got of his was a 45rpm under Baron Von Brodie from Rich Hagensen (The Surfdusters) quite a while ago. His recordings are tough to find, but definitely worth the search.

Mark Brodie left the Hang-Ten Hangmen in Summer 2014 so any of the recordings up to that point, AFAIK, contain Mark's work.
There have been personnel changes since this video featuring Mark.
Mark's departure created a vacancy in the line-up and I was invited to join a short while afterwards. I have been in contact with Mark and I really admire his playing and writing.

Humbuckers and a strat style bridge (I think). It still sounds like surf to me. Thumbs up!
