I grew up on records like that! But right now, or a few minutes ago I was listening to my wife yell at me for talking too much at the breakfast table. JONPAUL wrote:

These guys freaking rule. Seriously, some of the best instro out there.

But what I want to know is, are they actually Tremolo Beer Gut? Or did they pull a Leo Fender and mislabel themselves and are really Vibrato Beer Gut? The world may never know... Big Razz

Proggy mood today. Spock's Beard channel on Pandora.

Nothing... On our way to Surfer Joe Festival, our rental VW-Polo doesn't have a CD-player. Damn modern cars!

Huge F** Waves and waiting for the new Urban Surf Kings in the mail.

In honor of today's POTD, I'm listening to SONOS DELIRIUM by THE MYSTERY MEN?

This album is so incredible! Or, to state it in the modern vernacular: it's totes amazeballs! Duh

OH MAN!!! You are far too kind!! Can't wait for you to hear the new stuff! Twisted Evil

Since I saw the Sadies last week, I've been on a Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers kick - the music of the Other Southern California of yore. I just bought Notorious Byrds Brothers and The High Lonesome Sound of the Flying Burrito Brothers (live in '69 & '70). The sound quality on the latter leaves something to be desired but the playing and singing (!) is great. I think Dallas Good'd echo-laden sound owes something to Sneaky Pete Kleinow. The Sadies cover songs like Sin City.

Squink Out!

Listening to two new Crazy Aces songs I started mixing last night.
More work needed
The journey continues.

Cheers,
Jeff

With their almost 20 years of experience, the Bradipos IV are among the best surf-rock combos on the European scene. 'The Partheno-Phonic Sound Of The Bradipos IV' presents a great collection of classic Neapolitan tunes, all of which are given a genuine surf treatment. It's amazing to discover how those old traditional melodies perfectly fit the band's surf-rock atmospheres.

theres nothing more to say..
except..its, with ease, the best surf record in 2016 so far...

I really need that new Bradipos album. I think the only place to get it online is the surfer joe store. Anyone know of any other places to get it?

I wish I could be listening to NSSR today, but work blocks it and my cell signal isn't good enough to stream in this building.

So I'm listening to Brian Jonestown Massacre instead!
