Here is an excellent podcast interview of Marc Ribot by Steve Dawson. Ribot is one of my favourite guitarists.

Oh cool! Thanks for the link!

...normally I have no favourite guitarists.

But if I had to tell one it would be definitely Marc Ribot.
Luckily I was at a gig from Marc Ribot here in Berlin a few weeks ago.
He played alone on an old acoustic guitar. He mostly played very smooth stuff, never heard such a playing, such a kind of playing with tones and dynamics and everything...
I really had the thoughts for a few seconds that this "guy" is not from this planet... He played over 90 minutes and no one wanted to stop him. It was magic.
People, you can not display this magic in a video on youtube, so I suggest to everyone: If you are interested in guitar music, try to see Marc Ribot live. Maybe this will change your life, or your thinking about music. (not joking)
I was deeply touched by his playing. This man is not playing guitar, he melts with an instrument.

Twang cheers!

OK Ralf, based on your suggestion I just bought tickets to see him in June. Thanks!

Oh Oh!
Thanks for your trust.
In June he will play with his band Ceramic Dog. This is total difference from his solo show.
But Ceramic Dog is also a real experience. Three freakin` out high class cool musicians. Worth to see them live! And in Ceramic Dog Marc Ribot plays mostly his old Jaguar. Smile
...hope that they will play also their weird Take5 version, man!

Danny, for this trust I will make your Marc Ribot ticket as a gift from me. So please send me a PM with your bank account dates, or your PayPal address and how much the ticket was.

cheers!
