Is there anywhere I can buy genuine springs? Cant find them anywhere.

Didn't see them in any of the parts outlets either (PN 047607).

Try Fender via email at:

consumerrelations@fender.com

May take them 2-3 days but they've always answered back to me. Perhaps they will sell you some (it's an extension spring, not a compression spring).

No worries, good luck. I only mentioned the hardware store option because I'm kinda spoiled here with one that has a couple of aisles of nothing but bins of screws, washers, nuts, springs... I'd just finagle one off its anchor and go down there to match it - it's just something to suspend the pan. (And, in fact, some units such as Dario's just screw it right to the board and they sound great - so your new pan could easily be tested without suspending it.)
Cheers.

After putting new valves in and buying all new Fender Performance Leads, I played at Volume today and problem fixed! I'm going to the Hardware shop tomorrow to find some appropriate springs and am still going to change the Tank just out of curiosity to see how different it sounds. Thanks all for all the advice.
Denis

Good news; glad to hear it's working out.
