Permalink Jeff Senn/Eastwood Guitar Now Taking Orders

New Topic
Goto Page: Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Next

I day to go. I've struggled with this. How many guitars do you need? The common sense answer would take this out of the picture instantly! I have just enough common sense to have missed a really good time on many occasions. Smile Back to contemplating. Confused

The Senn Model One is a work of art. The Eastwood Model One is like a limited edition print of the original. Either way, the artists signature is desirable.

Put my deposit down yesterday and can't wait until September! Huge congrats to my friend and hero Jeff (and his wife Chris) on the success of the Model One.

The Squares - 1995-2002
The Mystery Men? - 2012-
MOONBASE - 2012-2017
The KBK - 2017-2022
The Frigidaires 2021-
Southern Surf Stomp!

Today is the last day of the campaign
We are blown away by the support and encouragement.
Unbelievable. What a trip!

Cheers,
Jeff

Just did the same - congrats, Jeff! 105 pledgers with 45 minutes to go, at 720% of the goal! Pretty damn cool!

Ivan, in the literal eleventh hour, Thank You!

caddady - The Model One is a bolt neck and I love your "matching" amp!

We (Chris and I) are completely blown away, walking on air and in a state of disbelief today.
It was fun enough to share this project with friends here at SG101 but to receive such encouragement and actual support, actually have some of you opt in is almost beyond my scope of belief.
Thank you friends. You have not only supported an idea, a design, but put food on our table and for this we are deeply grateful.

Wow!

I'll be waiting for mine as well until September so maybe we should start a support group during our wait, LOL. Pot luck dinners, meet for coffee, talk each other through this difficult time.....
Tables are turned and now the builder waits for his too - fair enough!

I'll be offline for a few days. The campaign was crazy, hundreds of questions and communiques at all hours in a one month, condensed circus of video production, ad creation and phone calls.
I will be happy to answer any questions regarding the instruments and eventually we'll create some electronics upgrade kits, maybe some custom pickguards...but for now - breakfast out, a little something special in my coffee and some sunshine.

A most sincere thank you,

Jeff and Chris (my wife and business partner)

Yes, it was amazing to watch the last minute run-up! The final tally of 110 guitars is impressive, but when you think about it it's still a very small and exclusive run. I feel like like I'm getting something truly rare and special.

Wow!

I think for me the biggest part was knowing that this guitar was thoughtfully designed by an active and highly respected member of the SG101 community. I know that was far from the only consideration, but just to know that the wants and needs of a surf guitarist were actually a factor in the design and production is the coolest! It's also possibly an industry first, I would think.

I was was thinking it would be cool to start an Official Eastwood/Senn Model One Owner's Registry Thread (Like Ivan did for the Vibroverb) for the the forum members who opted in.

THANK YOU, Jeff and Chris. I haven't bought a brand new guitar in decades and I have to say I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to get something so special. Now, as someone once said, the waiting is the hardest part!

Jeff, I'll tell you something straight up. For me, one of the things (among several) that stuck with me was your demo; having heard your playing & other demos I'm pretty confident that what I heard was the GUITAR being demonstrated. Nothing rubs me like 200-grit faster than a guitar demo that is fuzzed out from the get-go. Sell me a pedal or demo output distortion, great. But if you want to sell me a GUITAR then, dammit, show me what the GUITAR sounds like. "Ya dun good"

Now to finish saving the rest of the pop bottles & ponder red or green.
Big Grin

Yes It could be even sportier than that if the guitars get some form of SN sequence that reflects the initial run. (Don't know if that's something that happens or not, just pondering.)

They use PayPal as a payment mechanism; if you have a credit card you can use it for that.
