Permalink Telstar solo in the Chet style

New Topic

I recently worked up an arrangement of "Telstar" in the style of Chet Atkins. I'm playing it here on a recently acquired American Vintage '59 Strat. -Marty

So great man! I love Chet and I love Telstar, great combo.

Awesome--well done!

A really beautiful interpretation of a great song. Very well done!

That is an excellent rendition of the song. It is great to hear Chet's style being carried on.

Wow! That was GREAT! (Even your glances up were in his style.)
I grew up listening to his records spinning on the phonograph; thanks for sharing. What a Monday-morning smile maker.
Cool

Nokie, that's really great!
You make your new Strat sound fantastic.
I agree with Wes, great way to start a monday.
Well done.

Very nice! As someone who has spent hours trying to figure out a Chet tune that isn't easy!

Everyone's already said it. Wonderful way to start the day! Chet's playing was always cheerful, full of fun and the enjoyment of playing guitar. So is yours. Thanks for sharing!

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Very cool.

Good job sir.

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?
