That has created 1 more business model for 2 businesses' to be profitable. I like the fact that a custom model becomes accessible. I like the fact that the originator may receive additional funds to pay for development costs. Eastwood has found another way to keep the factory going and everything looks good. Did I miss anything? Smile

wfoguy, you nailed it!
Since we're such a small business, relationships and community in business mean a lot to us. It's how small businesses like us survive so you can imagine how excited we are about this opportunity.

Cheers,
Jeff

What's the Senn by Eastwood-Model One sound like?

Nice shootin' Tex.

As a gear nerd, I'm always giddy with projects like these.
I just shot my load on a sg and a cabronita so, I'm hesitant to take the plunge, lest Mrs ripper take too much notice, but I'll be keeping my eyes on it, for sure.

Sold! Just as I suspected, it sounds as good as it looks. I'm saving my pennies and selling some gear for this guitar. Thanks for posting this demo Jeff. I'm confident in speaking for almost everyone here. We're so damned proud of you! —

Either you surf, or you fight.

Sounds great Jeff! And thank you for including the tank for the 101 folks. You really showed off its versatility in that demo.

Lovely piece of In My Room. Yes

Stellar demo playing, as expected. (Nicely showing off Quilter too.)
Surprised I actually like the bridge pup by itself thru the tank more than I thought. It's a very working-man's 'Tele' sounding guitar to my ear, but with a lovely vibrato setup.

Congrats Jeff! That's a gorgeous looking and sounding guitar! Thanks for the nice demo. I was just thinking yesterday that it has been a while since I had my last GAS attack... Here we go Big Grin must resist, must resist

Great job Jeff.

Salute !

METEOR IV on reverbnation

Does purchase of said guitar come with a lifetime of free lessons for people that can't play? Smile

It sounds fantastic jeff!

I'm really glad some of you are digging the sounds, thanks so much.
I always try to emphasize the instrument not my playing in these demo videos.

Surf Skater - I'm glad the versatility came through. I found that the pickups and overall sound was capable of a fairly wide range of styles.

Wes, I've been playing a version of "In My" Room" live for a few years now and have made the arrangement challenging enough that sometimes I come close to nailing it and other times I fall flat on my face, LOL.
Also - I couldn't agree more about the Tele comparison. I have an out take, 15 second video of me playing a quick chicken pickin thing and right after I played it I thought "Whoa, that sounded SO Tele"

wfoguy - I wish! I learn something new everyday on the instrument and sometimes with my schedule and absent mindedness I learn that same thing over three times, Ha Ha.

I know I've said this already but the support from you, my friends here is without a doubt, one of the best things about this project.
There is often a general reluctance to accept new guitar designs so your positive and upbeat comments have me walking on air.
Thank You

Cheers,
Jeff

That's what's got me intrigued. I've got "surf" guitars but have always wanted a Tele-like substance, but have never been simpatico with a Tele itself, nor with a Bigsby. Much as love my Strats, my JM with that vibrato system is the one I can always come to, pick it up, and it's IN TUNE. This may just be the amalgam of those things I've been mulling over. Really excited to see this come about for you.

Edit to add: Any info on the production neck profile/fingerboard radius?

Jeff Congratulations! What an awesome guitar and now that I know it's single coils I'm definitely getting one. I'm not sure if you've already explained this, if so please just point me in the right direction, but what are the color options? Also do the models with humbuckers come with coil split/tap capability? I'm definitely a future customer!

The production instrument will most likely feature a very common, not too thick C shape neck and a 10" radius fingerboard, like our custom model.
More info on the Eastwood website next week.

Jeff

Thanks so much Jeremy!
Right now Eastwood will start with the Teisco Red color. If they get enough orders they will open up to additional colors, most likely starting with Black, which the guitar looks fantastic in.
The "humbuckers" in the guitar are actually single coils that look like humbuckers so splitting is not an option, they already are true singles.
We decided on that mount configuration because there are the most aftermarket choices for different style pickups should the customer wish to upgrade or change the sound later.

Jeff

Try all ya like, your excellent technique and style can't help but come out in these test vids! This does sound like a nice set-up though. -Marty
