I'm not sure who put this in their NSSR playlist, but I've heard "Let's Make the Water Turn Black" several times this week and I have to say I've just really fallen in love with this song! The Mosquitos are such an awesome bunch of dudes, and I've always really liked their music. They've been around a long time but I'd never heard this song. Was this only released on the "Lemme Take You to the Beach" Comp? Thanks NSSR, and well done Mosquitos!!!!

Hey Jeremy,
Thanks for the kind words!!
Yeah, that was released on the "Lemme Take You to the Beach" Frank Zappa tribute comp a long time ago. Really glad NSSR is putting in their rotation!
Cool fact: That song actually got played by the late great John Peel on his BBC radio show back in 2004. The track listing is still on the internet

It blew my mind when I first saw that!!
Thanks again! And the Aqualads rule!!

I dig em. We play 'love canal' in our first set and it's such a great cruisy number. I play the low arpeggio on a glassy sounding jag and our other guitarist plays the lead on a growly 60s gretsch hollow body.

Do you have a You Tube video of you guys playing it? I would love to hear that!

We've had both of them in the past.
They will be back in the Future!
Dig them both a lot.
