I found this video on Youtube of "Original Master Recordings" supposedly from 61-64.
It opens with "Cecilia Ann" by the Surftones. A little digging shows that Steve Hoffman and Frosty someone recorded this - but it appears they did so when the album came out (1989 maybe).
I scanned through a few tunes (the poster didn't link the track times).
Wipeout didn't sound like the version I'm most familiar with...
I'm wondering how "legit" this album is - are they all re-records, or what? A couple of them said "unissued".
Anyone know anything about this?

I honestly don't know, what I love more about Cecilia Ann: the song itself or the fact that it still manages to convince so many people that it was recorded in the 60s.
I also dig the suggestion of Klas in the thread linked above by JP, that Hoffmann probably put the master tapes of the songs between the other masters of Downey records and thus ensured that later producers of compilations would also take it for an old recording. A real prankster!
