My daughter has a bit part in that movie, as one of Valli's daughters. She gets royalty checks, so keep buying Jersey Boys products! We need to buy her shoes! — |

I really enjoyed that movie. Although I found it odd that they move the death of one of Valli’s daughters from 1980 to 1967 to coincide with the song “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. Mind you that’s Hollywood and as an exec director Frankie Valli let it go ahead. If it’s “A True Story” it’s probably only 50% correct. If it’s “Based on a True Story” we’re looking at 25%. But lately there’s been a lot of movies “Inspired by a True Story”….they’re probably floating somewhere between total fiction and 10% truth!!! |

And don't forget "Inspired by True Events" = carte blanche for movie-makers to inject something that didn't exist. That is still one powerful record. A primo, late night, going somewhere in the van belt it out and sing-a-long track. I keep their greatest hits CD in the rotation box that I carry on long trips. Thanks, that was a great article. ed —Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps? |
