We've got another of these type of gigs coming up on the 18th of February at Ken's Sushi in Nashville.
The mellower. quiet gigs have been fun, a great chance to work on our ensemble playing but it would be better with someone banging out a beat with brushes or bongos.....

Love the title! We do those gigs too, but with me on uke, Crash on a U-bass, and Inky on either a suitcase drum or his kit from when he was 3 (the bass drum at least). Sometimes the money is better, and there is way less gear to haul.

Hey Jeff, I just saw this thread for the first time. Is that song in the second part of the practice video Echo Rocket 66? Very cool.

Richard, yes, Echo Rocket 66 it is, for the win!
We've covered some Royal Fingers tunes since the beginning of the Aces.
I love the punkish, low fi sound and energy of the Fingers and Sammy's playing was awesomely fun.
I only wish they lasted and there was more material.
Cheers,
Jeff

"Wild Eleki Deluxe" is one of my favorite albums. I never get tired of listening to it. Their cover of "Golden Guitar" is BLISTERING, and IMO pulls off the amazing feat of topping The Sharp Five's original.
