Well, I did it. Went and had myself a heart attack last week. Those of you who have had them, my respect goes out to you. Anyhow, I'm out of the hospital and feeling well. I had two stents put in last Thursday and had 4 more put in yesterday. The cool thing about going into the cath lab yesterday was that they gave me the choice of what Pandora channel to listen to. Of course I chose surf instros! Is there anything better to listen to while going through a delicate heart procedure? I think not. I just have to say a great big thanks to Satan's Pilgrims, and the Ghastley Ones (as that's all I remember before going to sleep) for keeping me upbeat and positive during the procedure. This is the greatest genre of music around!

Sorry to hear about the heart attack, but glad that you are doing better now. Yes, instrumental surf music is the greatest genre around!

Congrats on surviving a life threatening situation. Reminds me of when I had a root canal and we all listened to surf during the procedure.

Wow. Bad news followed by good news and an upbeat inspirational assessment of the music.
Glad you're doing better!

imafunkyman,
That sure is some scary stuff to go through.
I hope you're feeling better and continue to use the power of (Surf) music to get you through this.
Here's to healing....

Thanks guys. I really surprised myself throughout the whole process. I never thought for a moment that my life was in danger despite the intense pain. I just calmly told my wife and kids that I'm having a heart attack, call 911, and get my butt to the hospital. Amazing cardiac team at McKay-Dee hospital in Ogden, Utah. The only precaution I took was to have surf music played "just in case" these were the last moments of my existence!
