Hello folks,
Anyone try the new Fender Super Sonic amps? "Supposedly" they combine the best of the early tube amps...Vibrolux and Bassman...along with a Gain channel. All tube, 6L6s, etc. My old trusty Blackfaced Twin keeps breaking down more and more these days, and can't handle the rigors of travel like she used to, so I was thinking about loking into the Super Sonic. Plus the fact that it has a gain channel, which would definitely come in handly for me. I wouldn't have to tote around a pedalboard.
Anyone crank through one yet?

The Super Sonic was pretty high up on my GAS list prior to buying a Reverend Kingsnake head last week. I never got around to trying one though and I'm very happy with the KS right now.
Here is a fairly lengthy thread about the Super Sonic from the Fender Forum...

Ah, cool.....thanks ToolShed!
I'm venturing (no pun intended!) out tomorrow to try one out with my trusty DiPinto Galaxie. I'll report back!
