That's awesome!
I can't speak for others but I'm still honored, thrilled and thankful when we get airplay.
The thought that something you created, worked hard on, could be broadcast out to others is still very exciting to me and our band.
It always takes me back to days of wonder.
Way cool.

Thanks Brian and Palo! It was the first song I ever recorded to the end. Brought the drummer in and ran through it a couple times and he got it the first take. I layered the guitar tracks with just my Twin and then cut the bass track. I had never mixed or mastered surf before. JonPaul was the first to pickup on it and start playing it for his show on Luxaire then it started getting into the rotation on NSSR.

What makes it such a thrill is that when I listen to all this fantastic music all day long that is being streamed across the globe and my song comes on, it makes me feel like I have contributed in some way to the great archive of surf music. We have such a awesome community and it's nice to feel like I am a part of it! Looking forward to finishing the CD already!

Congrats, that is awesome. Must be like how some of the kids felt when they cut a demo, drove over to the radio station and then were able to tune in and hear it actually being played.

You should take yourself out for a burger & a big malt before the big freeze hits tonight.

I'm sure the kids back in the day felt the same way Wes! In August I was about to go to the dentist and have a root canal. I was in no way looking forward to that and bam again. NSSR played the KK's and I went in feeling like a million bucks!

Rather than a nice dinner I need to get my mics set up and get the next KK's song done. It's in the very same "summer fun" mode of trad surf as The First Wave. Everything is ready, bags are packed, gps programmed....just need to getr done!
