I've used EZ drummer and got excellent results, never tried Superior Drummer because I believe you have to furnish or create your own beats and that's far beyond me. |

@ loeD , that's interesting about the addictive drums , ill check them out . Regarding triggers ..., getting a real drummer when I want one plus the recording issues make it a dead end for me , best I create songs when the mind is co-operating , and record there and then on DAW, and If I find drummers at a latter date , they'll have a reference of the beats im after for my original stuff (that's my plan) @Bamboozer , all of ez drummers pre mixed (non effects editable) files work in superior drummer , but superior drummers sounds drum sounds are all recorded with top quality individual mics as well as the variety of room mics and you can vary the mix between them all , thus radically changing the way a kit sounds , and there are also effects and drum editing . Many producer presets are also available to use , even if its only as a good starting point before you start tweeking the sounds. The tracks midi loops are dragged into ez player pro for easiest midi file sequencing and editing , or can be exported to pro tools/Cubase /etc. ..., but ultimately , so far ( from my research only , not hands on ) With toontracks ,I like the idea that I can easily preview and edit loops in ezy player pro to construct my song , then I can play with the mix either before or after recording all the other tracks , as you need to record all the other tracks to see whats going on so you can shape the right colour for the drums to fit in as desired (ie; smooth , soft , or hard hitting in your face , small room up front , or big hall ...., your really cannot decide on these moods until you've layed down the rest of your tracks and then started mixing the mood you want and blend the drums in with it (IMHO) —Green Rooms, Bombora's and Reverb |

+1 for Addictive Drums - it's one of the better packs out there. I tend to disable most internal processing, especially compression (over compressed drums sound good only when they're real!), in order to preserve the natural transients. As general advice: the less you mess with samples, the better. If it's not the sound you want, choose a different sample set, FX just won't fix it.
