Permalink The ultimate "Apache" insult?

New Topic
Goto Page: 1 2 Next

I don't remember having to sit through this video here previously. If it has been posted before, my apologies.......

Honestly, it was a complete accident that I crossed paths with this while looking for a Jorgen Ingman vid of "Apache." NO, really, no kidding.

We all thought that the Tommy Sheeman (or who ever) was absolutely miserable, right? And we are still buds right Ivan?

Enjoy......tolerate.......smash your monitor? This really is NOT my fault.

Sincerely,

ed

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

At first I was like "oh yeah!" Then a second later I was all " oh no!!".

Thanks Eddie K - for wrecking one of my favorite songs. This might be worse than that other "Apache" clip that I refuse to link to. None

Pans People were never the greatest dance group but it's first time I've heard anyone complain about them! I always fancied the one in lilac myself Big Grin . I can tell from their platform shoes this was around 1972, well over 10 years from when Apache was a hit. Top of the Pops was meant to be a weekly pop charts show delivering current music however the BBC was full of old guard royalists pulling the strings in the background, the same bunch who stopped the Sex Pistols getting to No1.

Nice looking girls.. never heard of this dance troop before.. A close look at the chick in yellow indicates a bit of "camel-toe".

Given my druthers, I think the bare chested girls in the Dan Electro ads were hotter.

I actually enjoyed that! It could have been the Village People dubbed in.

Several of us most likely agree that the Village People would have been more appropriate.

That reminds me of our CaptainSpringfields signature.."that was outrageous and completely unnecessary...I loved it." Smile

Maybe I'm the only one who like these videos? The Apache video is cheesy and fun and sexy like a lot that has to do with surf and the pop culture surrounding it. I always felt like that if you like the vintage stuff, you need to have a high tolerance for cheese.

I was a bit horrified (traumatized) the first time I saw the Fuankhauser video, but now I see the tongue in cheek nature of it. I think they're just having fun and not taking it too seriously, so that's how I look at it and now it's just funny.

...and since it was referred to above, let's make it official. C'mon...this is CLASSIC!

I kept waiting for Benny Hill to pop out of the woods and chase the "Indians" around. I might have missed it so, I'm going to watch it again.
One can never have too much of the Tommy Seebach Band.
Oh, the horror, the horror.
