Anyone have any pets that like to chill with you when you jam some surf tunes? I wanna see em! This is Frankie our English Bulldog....he passed away last September but he was the most chill dog I ever had, loved surf music, helping me play said surf music, and longboarding!

Sorry about Frankie! He looks awesome.
Also, best idea for a thread ever. I am a huge pet lover. I don't have one right now though...

Yes!
Best thread idea in a while.
Sorry about Frankie, he looks like he was a good companion.
Our band's namesake is my Coonhound/Lab mix Ace.
He left this world a few years ago but he LOVED guitars, amps, and the people who played them, but only if they sounded good.
He would actually leave the room when a bad player came by or someone brought a shitty sounding amp.
The dude had ears and was cooler than we'll ever be
So we named our band after him.
Here's a pic from his senior years, hanging with some Tweeds
Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks! Still got these two guys.....the bigger ones name is Dracula we have had him for almost 5 years,he was a rescue dog. Frankie was a rescue dog too but he had a heart condition called pulmonary stenosis, spent 6 grand on a heart surgery for him to give him 2 years more of life (the doctors prediction of time he would last,he almost made it exactly two years). He was only a year old when he got the surgery,he deserved more of a puppy life so we took him in knowing it would happen at some point, just gave him the best life possible! Now the little beagle puppy on the left is my son Bodhi's,we just got that pup 2 days ago as my son just turned 1 on halloween and needs a smaller companion he can grow with. That pups name is Bunker........Bodhi and Bunker are of course name references to my favorite (older not new crappy remake) movie ever, they are indeed a good match....can anyone guess which movie I speak of?!?!?!

Jake, you need a pet!
Really cool pictures and stories, some sad but that's a part of the whole deal.
This is Kiko.
She is a 2.5 year old, Boxer/Pitt mix rescue that came after Ace
She is not Ace, LOL.
She needs much discipline and gets it. It will be a long patient process. She could care less about guitars and amps but loves to interrupt mixing sessions and can be prone to knocking over vintage Supros and breaking the headstocks off. Yep, that's right. The Supro in this picture is now in the shop.
She can be very sweet though.

Oh boy!
Yeah, I need a pet. Harvey lived at my house, he was the upstairs unit's cat who liked to hang out with me before his person got home.

Harvey, Love it. The accidental pet.
It's really cool he hung out with you.

This is Frick n' Frack, two dirty stray cats that hung around my shop for handouts since they were kittens. One day Frack disappeared and never returned, so I decided to take Frick home for his own good.
After a few tense weeks of adjustment (his first encounter with our dogs ended with him biting a hole through my fingernail ), he's now cleaned up and living in the lap of luxury.

O.K.
We chose dogs over kids so you'll just have to put up with another post.
I love this picture.
This is Ace some years back with Otis our greyhound, now deceased as well, having the time of their lives visiting my parents up in Buffalo.
Otis never saw snow before and Ace only encountered a few inches here and there in Nashville.
They thought it was the bomb and Ace would attempt to "herd" and keep up with Otis who would, of course, smoke him speed wise.

Ha Ha, don't get too carried away Jake.
My dogs were and are much cooler than me!
I've learned more from them about dealing with change, maladies etc. than any human.
